Spitzer's resignation effective Monday. Thank God. I do find it odd that he's not being charged with a crime. The feds went through all that trouble to catch him and then don't charge him. I suppose ruining his political and professional career is enough punishment given the crime. I would just think that charging him with a crime would be what the Department of Justice is supposed to do rather than investigating political figures and then once they step aside not following through with their hard labor. Kind of a waste of tax payer money isn't it?
On a side note, I keep reading comparisons between Spitzer and Bill Clinton. Keep in mind that cheating on your wife isn't a crime, which is what Bill did. Hiring a prostitute in the State of New York is a crime. Confusing perceptions of morality with legality can be such a burden.
