March Madness Time

March is my favorite time of year. Has been for years. So I thought I would make some quick comments on this years NCAA Men's College Basketball tourney.

First a team who should be thanking their lucky stars, Kentucky. Why in the world is Kentucky in this tournament? They have no business being anywhere near the NCAAs. Another lucky team is Duke. Being a Duke fan, I'll admit a 2 seed is very kind to the Dukies this year. They should have been a 3 or 4.

Now on to the snubs. I think Illinois State is the biggest snub. Sure their non-conference schedule sucked but finishing second place in the MVC this year was no easy task. Add that to a 33 RPI and it's by far the highest ranked index team left out this year. Second snubbed team is Dayton. I understand they lost their best player; however, the committee should have awarded them for the work they did. Dayton should be in and Kentucky should be out. It's that simple. And maybe the biggest snub of all is Butler with a 7 seed. Butler should have at least been a 4-5 seed. A 7 seed is total disrespect for their 29-3 record.

I'm going to go with Memphis winning it all. I think they are by far the most talented team and if they can hold it together for three more weeks the title is theirs.
