Tally Counts

At this point, especially on the Democratic side, tally counts for the delegates are really the only qualifier for who's leading. For that specific number I've found MSNBC to be about the most accurate. Here's the breakdown.

  • Hillary 1,145
  • Obama 1,082
Very close indeed.

For the Republicans things are much different. With McCain easing ever more so into the nominee's spot, the delegate count isn't much an issue.*
  • McCain 680
  • Romney 270
*Notice the difference in methodology for calculating delegates versus the Dems. Like I said, on the Republican side since McCain has such a huge lead, a probable insurmountable lead, the methodology to figure the count really doesn't matter. For the Dems, every single delegate is important, however.
