As we stand on the brink of what tomorrow holds for what is really the first ballots cast in the 2008 presidential election, all that can really be said is that even the wisest amongst us has no clue what's going to happen. For me, I really don't care because I feel that the top three Dem candidates are all relatively strong candidates and I wouldn't have a problem voting for any of them in November.
Many are talking about Hillary dropping out tomorrow if she has another bad showing. I'm not so sure of that. I think if she can place at least second- and surely she will- we'll see her in South Carolina, where some polls have her down by double digits.
For the Republicans, this is a must win for McCain and a must place second for Romney. And even with the second place finish I'm not so sure how safe Romney may feel in continuing his bid for president. This could very well turn into a McCain/Huckabee match for the nomination. It could also be bon voyage to Giuliani who is barely pulling double digit numbers in NH right now. Then again, Rudy is still waiting for that Jewish Florida vote to save him.
Well, to each his own and God speed.
