My Dearest Harry Reid:
I never expected much. It wasn't like I was out for blood or wanted to see heads roll. I'm really not that vindictive of a person. I've always thought political witch hunts were only returned with political karma, much like the Clinton impeachment debacle. It's not like I wanted impeachment hearings on our grand leader George W. Bush. Accountability was all I was after, and you've yet to come close to providing that.
I always argued hard against the people who wanted Bush on a platter or who wanted Republicans treated the way they treated the Dems when they were in the minority. There was never much use for politics for the sake of politics. There was much more pressing matters at hand. Such as our troops in Iraq. Or affording a college education. Or the fact that Americans are earning less now than when Bush took office. The Republicans were in retreat. Some were behind bars. Others were awaiting trial. Still others were avoiding subpoenas and warding off federal investigators at an alarming pace. Their problems were all their own. All I wanted was some oversight.
Oh Harold, with telecom immunity right around the corner, our troops in Iraq for at least a generation, the economy in a slump and your allowance that Bush administration officials don't have to abide by congressional summonses, I'm not sure there is any reason to continue this any further. No, it's not me Harold, it's you.
