A slew of new polls were released today confirming the dire state of Bush’s approval ratings. The most alluring is the Fox News poll that shows Bush’s approval rating at 39 percent. What’s interesting about this poll is the fact that I could not find the poll anywhere on Fox’s main page. Finally after some searching, I discovered their poll results hidden away in a safe place. It's just not like them to not be fair and balanced. Another interesting result of the Fox poll is that 45 percent of Americans think the country would be better off if the Democrats won control of Congress in the November elections as compared to only 31 percent think so if Republicans were to hold onto their majority. Meaning, the American people trust the country to be better off if Democrats were in charge of Congress and not the Republicans.
Other noticeables from Fox News:
--81% believe Iraq is likely to end up in a civil war
--69% oppose the Dubai port deal
CNN/USA Today/Gallup and Quinnipac also released their studies today as well. The CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll has Bush at 38 percent. Quinnipac has Bush at 36 percent.
If we average the approval ratings of Monday’s CBS poll, which had Bush at 34 percent, and today’s three polls, Bush’s is at 36.75 percent approval.
